Edit Be a Community Correspondent for s1hurlford
If you know all there is to know about Hurlford and you want to help get people talking about the subjects that matter here, then we want to hear from you.
s1hurlford is a new type of website acting as a one-stop-shop for everything about life in Hurlford.
Its lifeblood is postings by the people of who live here. Anyone who lives in Hurlford can post to s1hurlford. But we're also looking for a Community Correspondent who can act as a point of contact for the site, collect local information and encourage people to post.
We need someone who is already deeply involved in the community - perhaps you've lived here all your life, or are a member of local organisations. Perhaps you just have lots of friends in the area and know what interests them.
You will be someone who can spread the word about s1hurlford, post news and pictures and to encourage others to do the same. It's not a difficult task - we'd be surprised if it took even a couple of hours a week - but it's an important role which will put you right at the heart of the community.
If you think you can help then please get in touch. You don't need to be a journalist or a writer - in fact, in many ways we'd prefer it if you weren't - you just need to have decent spelling and grammar and a burning need to do your bit for Hurlford.
Please email us using contact@s1hurlford.com explaining why you'd love to be a Community Correspondent for Hurlford. If you'd like to see what Community Correspondents in other areas are doing, have a look here:

About s1hurlford
s1hurlford.com is a free and open place to talk about the things that interest people in Hurlford. You can post news, show off pictures and video, make announcements, start debates or even sell your fridge!
Unlike traditional news media, s1hurlford won't tell you what you should find interesting - it's all up to you. Anyone who lives in Hurlford can post to s1hurlford. But because it's owned by Herald & Times Group, there's also a team of professional journalists working behind the scenes to keep it all moving, and we won't allow it to die off like so many community sites.
