COMPANY PROFILE

 

Hurlford Radio Cars is owned and operated by Mark & Dawn McClelland,we have been serving the community of Hurlford & Crookedholm since 1996 and we are one of east ayrshire`s longest established licensed private hire operators.

The company was started from scratch in 1996 by Mark McClelland after a career in the royal navy serving with them throughout the world as a weapons engineer specialising in communication installs / repairs,he now has over 16 years taxi trade experience,Mark is also an RSA qualified transport manager ( certificate of professional competence in both national road passenger & haulage operations ) and over the years he has owned & operated 16 seater psv minibuses,licensed taxi`s in kilmarnock aswell as licensed private hire cars,currently he concentrates solely on running private hire cars based in hurlford and his wealth of trade experience ensures you are hiring a taxi company you can trust to get the job done.

Our taxi`s are mainly owner driven by Mark & Dawn with part time assistance from a small team of friendly drivers and our fares are regulated by East Ayrshire Council,all our taxi`s are inspected by them on a regular basis to ensure customer safety & fairness of prices charged,we also have our own workshop facility so you can be assured our cars are well maintained,we pride ourselves on turning up on time and transporting you in a safe & comfortable manner to your destination.

All our drivers have passed a council street knowledge exam and are police checked by them for suitability to drive a taxi,they are then also checked by us with disclosure scotland before driving one of our taxi`s,several of our drivers have also carried out a disability awareness training course run by the council,this ensures any disabled client travelling with us does so safely

All vehicles fully insured for public liability.

Aswell as operating our own taxi`s we have for over 13 years been a local supplier & installer of two way radio communication equipment ( most kilmarnock taxi`s have equipment supplied by us fitted ),we always have in stock brand new two way radio aerials ( magmounts , trunklid mounts ,body mounts etc ) and these can all be installed at our workshop if needed , contact Mark on any of the above numbers for an install / repair.
