A71 Eastholmes Hurlford to Galston road works starting on the 5th of July
21 JuneKeith Stewart says:
I wish to advise you of works scheduled to be carried out at the above location during the period Monday 5th July 2010 until Sunday 18th July 2010.
The work involves resurfacing of the carriageway as part of the Council's Structural Maintenance Programme. Due to the nature of these works and existing road widths, legislation requires that in the interests of safety to both the travelling public and the workforce, a road closure is put in place for part of the works.
As indicated, the scheduled start date for the works is Monday 5th July 2010, the programme for which is as follows:
5th - 9th July 2010 - works controlled by temporary Traffic Lights/Convoy System.
10th - 11th July 2010 - carriageway completely closed to all but emergency vehicles and local access.
17th - 18th July 2010 - carriageway completely closed to all but emergency vehicles and local access.
Local access will be permitted when works allow and when safe to do so.
The diversion route for all other vehicles will be via A719, A76, and vice-versa.
The diversion route will be signed in both directions.
East Ayrshire Council's Roads Division would like to apologise in advance for the disruption that this work may cause.
