Hopes raised as Crossroads Primary campaign to meet Education Minister
3 AugustHopes have been raised that Crossroads Primary near Hurlford can be saved, after parents campaigning to save the school secured a meeting with Education Secretary Mike Russell.
The rural school has of 53 pupils - and is set to close after the Scottish Government rejected a final appeal to keep the school open.
It followed the discovery of structural problems which were making the building unsafe. Children have been educated at the campus of Bellfield primary school over the past year until the future of Crossroads was resolved.
The meeting has been scheduled for August 16, the day the pupils start at their new school two miles away.
