Planning Projects

by Jean Templeman

Two planning projects have been recently brought to  attention in the Hurlford area. One is a plan to build a Sainsbury supermarket in the Queens Drice, Kilmarnock and the moving of the Rugby Club in the Queens Drive to new premesis off the London Road near the disused Mushroom factory.

You can find details of this application here.

Another planned project is the building of 4 bonded warehouses and a bottling plant with ancillary buildings in the field between the old Johnnie Walker complex and the Richardson Park in Hurlford.

Details for the warehouse planning application are here.

Both these projects are awaiting East Ayrshire Council planning permission .

It would be nice if they primarily hire Hurlford residents for the jobs before anyone else..........
